Privacy Policy

Measure Twice is a materials calculator for Android. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
What stays on your device
Everything you create in the app stays on your device:
- Saved projects, including the dimensions, quantities and costs they hold
- Unit prices you edit on the Prices tab
- Your theme, default waste factor and other settings
There is no account, no sign-in, and no server that receives this data. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. If your device has Android backup enabled, this data may be included in your own Google account backup, which is controlled by your device settings rather than by the app.
What the app sends
Ad configuration. On launch the app fetches a small configuration file that controls whether ads are shown. This is an ordinary HTTPS request for a static file. It sends no identifiers and no information about you or your projects.
Advertising. The app shows ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process:
- Your device's advertising ID
- Device and app information such as model, operating system version and app version
- Approximate location derived from your IP address
- Interactions with the ads shown
This data is collected by Google, not by us, and is used to select and measure ads. Google's handling of it is described in the Google Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Settings → Privacy → Ads on your device.
Usage analytics. The app uses Firebase Analytics to record how it is used: which calculator was opened, that a calculation was run, that an estimate was saved or a list exported, and which screen was viewed. These events never include anything you typed — no measurements, no project names or locations, no prices, no quantities and no costs. You can turn this off at any time under Settings → Privacy → Share anonymous usage data in the app.
What the app does not do
- It does not collect your name, email address, phone number or contacts
- It does not use GPS or request location permission
- It does not read your photos, files or other apps' data
- It does not send your projects, dimensions or prices anywhere
- It has no subscriptions and no in-app purchases — it is free and ad-supported
Children
The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
